The Count - KCC ELECTIONS

A lovely day, for the counting of votes cast in the county elections, an interesting day I think for politicians as public think for themselves.

More later.

From looking at the ballot papers as they spill onto the tables it's not looking good for Labour Tory or Libdem

  1. Lib-Dem came last in every Thanet seat, something that dismays me greatly as a supporter! I have to ask, where were you and Matt Brown? I didn't see you campaigning anywhere, nor do I know of any leafleting or door calls!

  2. Sorry 15:19 regrettably some of us have commitments that prevent us doing things we prefer, still if you would like to send me contact details,I will be happy to help you become more pro active and join the party assuming you haven't already.

  3. In that is the case Tony then I have to ask myself how on earth you and Matthew intended to attend regular meetings in Maidstone if you had won?

  4. Well instead of being rude perhaps you can tell us what you proposed to do to free up your time. Work less hours perhaps?

As for the campaign, I assume that you and Matthew chatted so that you could decide between you the best way to campaign?

  5. Tony, any thoughts on UKIP's local success?

  6. Tony, at least you stood which is more than any of the whingers around the blogs would ever do. Far easier to sit back and snipe than actually do something about issues.
Far sadder day for Micheal the Book, having used his blog to plug Labour and Driver over in Ramsgate, the town has gone totally UKIP. Now he is saying what a delightful child Will is over Margate way.

    1. I see that Tony's Lib-Dem colleague is now championing Labour's Will Scobie too!

    2. No wonder they lose if they do not know which side they are on. As least Tony hates Labour, but Matt seems to be preparing to cross the floor. Mind you, it could be a bit of a scrabble if he does with him, Worrow, Driver and Cohen all after safe Labour seats again (if there is such a thing anymore).

    3. We're all individuals, I don't hate Labour although I do hate the lies and misrepresentation by many of the leaders. Who can forget Gordon Browns utter contempt for his own supporters or Blair's money generating work 16 mill turnover last year with questionable regimes.

Matt Brown is entitled to make his views known, I would not agree with his assertion that Will Scobie is popular, my view is local Labour have invested a lot of effort in promoting him, why else would someone of his age lack of experience and insular view of politics be promoted to Margate Mayor, as many know this was deliberate policy to make sure he got elected.
