Kent resident and media man supports freedom

Bob Geldof KBE has given his support to David Davies, quite rightly too, suggestions that somehow highlighting freedom, standing against arrest without charge, is some sort of publicity stunt which has been the Labour government line, is clear nonsense. If anything still unites Briton it is our traditions of justice and fair play.

According to the Press Association Geldof spoke to students and constituents at Hull's Guildhall for half an hour. Referring to the up coming by election the press association quotes him as follows "This by-election isn't normal, it is extraordinary" "This is a fight about illegal boundaries of the state" "We are being asked to vote about us and we may never get to vote on something so profoundly fundamental." all of which anyone who gives a toss for this countries traditions of fairness, will heartily endorse.

Bob Geldof without a doubt is a credit to this country and his native Ireland, and has been instrumental in saving the lives of many thousands in Africa with Live Aid, something rare, an achievement that many politicians and government leaders are incapable. Its touching that according PA that Bob Geldof owes a great deal of" "gratitude" to Britain for allowing him to "get on with it and speak my mind".

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I intended to expand a little on Liberty and free speech, well that will do it for me. Maybe the author of letter which I've referred to recently would take note since I suspect they would have a similar respect for the opinions Bob Geldof.

Well I'm off to take a gander at Ramsgates ski thing, but will be hopefully giving my opinion comment or speaking my mind etc on matters local nation etc.

Thanks for the advice and help from my readers and ironically the organisation/company I was actually criticising. Time to move on! coming shortly to these pages an exclusive report on Bignews Margate's Mr Puss.

  1. I too support the stand taken by David Davis.

He has a facebook site with a blog.

I have put the petition up because I think David will win the argument easily but on too narrow a front.

I have exchanged letters with David Davis a couple of years ago. On the subject of the need to expand the (bogus) Blair driven "terrorist" debate into the full range of threat response. Civil contingency.

It must be easy to think of the terrorism debate as just about the powers of police and ID card schemes and detention periods.

But the context is that the debate is taking place on Blair's terms.

About how all of us will continue to be children in a Nanny state which persuades us to agree ever more power into the State's hands.

The Magna Carta based debate should have an uncomfortable element for the Nanny State. That is that our antient freedoms carry with them antient obligations. Personal responsibilities which up to 1998, if a person failed to act, carried the death penalty.

Power to the nanny state means educating the people into servitude. Persuading the people not to take individual responsibility (even when unrepealable law makes it obligatory for persons to take responsibility in defined circumstances of threat to the Realm) The nanny state has largely successfully ensured that the people do not know about Common Law obligations. And more than that. When someone (often me) tells them about the Obligations placed on them as individuals by Common Law the people are not minded to believe it. When it is a fact. Because the people have been made comfortable by their lack of backbone. Comfortabe as kiddies in Blair's nanny state mursery.

How many people in Thanet know about allegations that there was/is sabotage of backup generators consistent with Stage 3 of the IRA Plan ?

How many obligatory Common Law Informations to the Justices ?

    ONE. Mine.

I reported the technical argument Dec 1998 to Police Authority member Councillor HAYTON. He took expert advise which was "This hangs together rather too well not to be true". Then reneged on support for the report being sent to Home Secretary.

Now nearly ten years of unsupported reporting later the technical argument is endorsed and reflected in new NHS security of electrical supply to hospitals regulations.

So now I wanna know how do you feel William HAYTON ? Did you lay a Common Law Information of knowledge of acts which would weaken the ability of the Realm to resist an enemy ?

    NO.

If this debate is really about threats to our long held freedoms and liberties then it is about the attitudes, actions and INACTIONS of every one.

For by unrepealable law there are obligations on each indibidual to have BACKBONE.

The Law says that if you report Acts which would weaken the ability of the Realm to resist an enemy (terrorist) such as sabotage ... that you can never stand alone. That any person who cannot disprove that knowledge must rally to your shoulder.

So ask why this law has been taken off the Law Schools curiculum ? Why the broad education system )teaching nothing about everything) produces clones who can blog on any subject but act on none. Because they have no backbone to be individuals, because they have been educated into seeing consensus as a virtue and to deriving their only strength from the approval of the mob.

Now let me see how many people, now my technical arguments about vulnerability to sabotage are vindicated and catered for by new regulations which will benefit you all, will say "Well done Rick who stood alone and was unto himself true ?"

    Don't hold yer breath waiting.

  2. Rick I much as I welcome your contributions, and your knowledge, I have to say that often I haven't got a clue frankly what they are about too rambling for me to comprehend.

Would it be possible to make them more concise.

  3. I think what Rick is getting at is that we should all get off our arses and start voicing our dis satisfaction in public, outside Govt offices, Council Premises etc instead of bleating on about no one else doing anything about it.
I have to agree with him.
